An Iranian American trans man travels back in time to an LGBTQ+ archive to understand his sexuality. He meets his past and present during an erotic journey of self-discovery.. This is a documentary about gay female-male and female-male transsexuals. It mostly deals with life after transition, with less emphasis on the transition process itself. It also deals with those whose physical orientation is male. There are two main subject categories. One is Lou Sullivan, an F-to-M transition activist who pioneered identifying as gay. He is represented by a few excerpts from interviews he gave on television and the writings of one of his correspondents. The other is a series of interviews with various trans people with different presentations and anatomies—one male-identified subject insisted on keeping his vulva. Although trans nights are a big help in gay bathrooms, they don’t need to explain themselves. This is wrapped in a narrative play. A male trans Iranian-American (who left Iran soon after the revolution) goes to a queer archive in Chicago to do research, and a young, boyish man befriends a trans worker. Iranian "Omelet" a meal This hybrid approach added interest and made it feel more than the dryness of a simple documentary. I saw this as part of a film festival, the actors and directors were present. The director noted that the Iranian actor had a brief "proof of concept" To solicit funds, and continued with the addition of Iranian touches to the script. The other actor was an activist in his own right and wrote his part in his mind.
